If there’s one thing I love about engagement sessions, it’s capturing a couple’s love in all kinds of weather—even when it’s absolutely freezing! ❄️ That’s exactly what happened during Elaine and Dan’s engagement session at the stunning World’s Fair Pavilion in Saint Louis. The crisp winter air gave us some gorgeous, dramatic shots, but before we all turned into icicles, we made the best decision ever: moving to Well Met Café for a warm, cozy, and oh-so-romantic indoor session. And let me tell you—it was 100% worth it.

Braving the Cold at the World’s Fair Pavilion

We started at the World’s Fair Pavilion, one of the most iconic engagement photo spots in Saint Louis. The sweeping architecture, classic columns, and open-air space made for the dreamiest backdrop. Elaine was an absolute vision in her ’80s-inspired dress—it had the perfect mix of vintage flair and modern elegance. And that ring? Custom-made just for her! ✨

But did I mention it was freezing? Like, nose-turning-red, fingers-going-numb cold? 🥶 These two were absolute champs, cuddling up and laughing through the shivers, but after a few wind gusts too many, we knew it was time to pivot the plan and find somewhere warm.

A Cozy, Valentine’s-Themed Escape at Well Met Café

Enter Well Met Café—a literal warm hug in café form. As soon as we stepped inside, it felt like we’d walked straight into a Valentine’s Day dream. Soft lighting, festive red and pink decor, and the most cozy, intimate atmosphere made it the perfect backdrop for their engagement photos.

Snuggled up with warm drinks, Elaine and Dan looked completely in their element—laughing, stealing sweet glances, and just enjoying the moment together. Their café session felt like a mini date, and I absolutely loved capturing those effortless, relaxed moments that show what their love is truly about.
